Editors condemn communalisation of Jammu and Kashmir media, attacks on jurnos (New Kerala)
New Delhi, Aug 27 : Even as it expressed distress over the communalisation of media in Jammu and Kashmir, the Editors Guild of India today demanded that the governments at the Centre and the state, the security forces, and civil society ensure that journalists were not intimidated from performing their duty, and that all publications were allowed to come out.

Operating profits are down by 35pc and revenue by 14pc at Independent News and Media. The company, which publishes the Belfast Telegraph and sister title Sunday Life, saw profits drop from €7.3m to €4.7m.
